Pro Version Installation

  1. After you download the plugin, in your WordPress Admin menu go to Plugins > Add New > Upload;
  2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress;
  3. Look for the WooCommerce Organizer in the left menu and click on “License Key”
  4. Copy and paste your license key in the designated field and click “Activate License”

Lite Version Installation

Follow the same instructions in steps 1 and 2 for the Pro version. The Pro version allows an unlimited number of customer product arrangements to be created. The Lite version only allows one arrangement. If you decide to upgrade to the Pro version, you MUST deactivate the Lite plugin and then delete it. DO NOT install the Pro version without first deleting the Lite version. Your arrangement will be saved – you will not lose your previous work.

Creating A New Product Arrangement

  1. Click on Woo Organizer in the WordPress menu > Add New
  2. Select the category or categories you would like to display and then click the “Next” button at the bottom
  3. You can either select “Check All” or hand select each product then click the “Next” button at the bottom
  4. The selected categories and products are now visible and can be rearranged in the order you would like them to appear. Categories can be dragged up or down, and products can be dragged to appear in order from left to right
  5. Name your arrangement and click on the “Save Selection” button at the top
  6. On the “View Selections” page copy the shortcode of the desired arrangement and paste it into the page you want it to appear
  7. The Settings option allows you to add custom css code for further design enhancements

Pasting Shortcode on PHP Pages

If you are going to be pasting the shortcode on a php page like index.php, you will need to use this code for it to work correctly:

<?php echo do_shortcode( "[insert your shortcode here]" ) ?>

If you use this php string, make sure you change the quotation marks ” to apostrophes ‘ within our shortcode on either side of the number.

For example, here’s how it should look:

<?php echo do_shortcode( “[wcs selection=’13’]” ) ?>

Additional custom css may be required to position the arrangement correctly on the page. For example:

<div style=”width:1000px; margin:0 auto”><?php echo do_shortcode( “[wcs selection=’13’]” ) ?></div>

Working knowledge of how to add a class or ID in the stylesheet is necessary. As an alternative, you can create an alternative homepage in the Pages section, and paste the shortcode for the different features you want to appear on your homepage. Then go to settings > Reading > Static Page > Front Page > and select the page you created from the drop down.

Controlling the Number of Products

The number of products that can appear in each arrangement is controlled by the Blog posts field. To change this setting please go to:

Settings > Reading Settings > Blog pages show at the most [enter your max number here] posts
